Senior Accounting Manager - FloSports

Description

The Sr. Accounting Manger position will be a key member of the Accounting Department, managing internal team members and key accounting processes. This position reports directly to the Controller.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the production of monthly financial statements, ensuring reported results comply with GAAP
  • Assist with documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Work extensively with external auditors, providing information requested for annual audit
  • Supervise other accounting team members
  • Work with tax firm and other consultants on tax filings and other technical accounting projects
  • Assist with integration of acquired subsidiaries
  • Assist with accounting software improvements and implementations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Team player and ability to collaborate with other departments
  • Ability to adapt in an environment where change is a constant  
  • Microsoft Excel power-user
  • Previous auditing experience a plus
  • Prior experience with NetSuite a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
  • Minimum 4-6 years’ experience, with strong GAAP experience required
  • Certified Public Accountant license preferred
